Together with local and global partners, we provide education and conduct research in the field of linguistics which fosters appreciation for linguistic diversity, promotes cultural preservation and facilitates effective communication across Cambodia. We also strive to empower communities by promoting multilingualism and supporting the development of inclusive language policies.
The Cambodia Linguistics Organization (CLO) was founded to address several critical needs identified within Cambodia's language communities. One of the primary needs was linguistics training. By providing Cambodians with training in linguistics principles, we empower members of language communities to read, write, and conduct research in their own languages.
Through partnerships with local and international stakeholders and relevant government agencies, CLO is dedicated to equipping language communities with the resources and training necessary to achieve their language development goals. By doing so, we aim to ensure the sustainability and inclusion of Cambodia's diverse languages for generations to come.
